💼 About This Role

You'll design and implement production-quality software for the Grafana Cloud k6 squad, building high-scale performance testing tools used globally. Your core impact is establishing a culture of engineering excellence by setting standards and guiding operational reliability. You'll also have access to frontier AI coding assistants to accelerate development.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Contribute hands-on to the codebase by designing and implementing production-quality software.
• Build and scale a strong culture of operational excellence, including SRE practices.
• Establish reliability frameworks such as SLIs/SLOs and error budgets.
• Participate in on-call rotation as a primary escalation point.

📋 Requirements

• Strong programming background in a modern language (Python, Go)
• Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems
• Strong experience with SRE practices and reliability engineering concepts
• Experience defining or applying SLIs/SLOs and error budgets

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with containerized and cloud-native systems (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS)
• Familiarity with observability tooling (e.g. Grafana stack)
• Experience with Python, Go, JavaScript, or Jsonnet
