Description

You will define, build, and deploy key product features for SpaceX's Starlink Community Gateway, which delivers 10 Gbps connectivity to remote areas. Your software will run on network switches, servers, ground antennas, and satellites to optimize network performance for high-throughput applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or STEM; or 2+ years professional software development experience
• Experience with networking protocols (UDP, TCP/IP) and distributed systems
• Strong professional experience writing C or C++ in production environment (preferred)
• Experience developing software for network optimization, traffic shaping, or bandwidth management (preferred)
• Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed

Responsibilities

• Develop real-time software to optimize network performance for high-throughput applications
• Own software lifecycle from architecture design through implementation, testing, and support
• Incorporate learnings from real-world deployments for continual improvement
• Develop tools for testing, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Build prototypes and manage experiments to prove design concepts
