Description

In this role, you'll design, develop, and scale backend APIs and services for SpotMe, a product that provides members with liquidity when needed. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve real member problems and improve system reliability, all while working on a high-impact feature at meaningful scale.

Requirements

• 3+ years developing software in a production environment at scale
• Proven experience with Ruby on Rails or comparable frameworks
• Experience working with transactional databases and caching systems
• Exposure to architectural patterns of large, high-scale web applications
• Collaborative, low-ego working style

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and scale backend APIs and services for new and existing product features
• Collaborate closely with mobile, product, design, risk and data partners to understand member pain points
• Proactively identify opportunities for improving reliability and scalability of systems
• Work across the engineering team to improve and uphold high technical standards
• Participate in code reviews, on-call rotations and incident follow-ups
