Description

As a Senior Avionics Manufacturing Engineer at Relativity Space, you'll develop manufacturing plans for avionics hardware and wire harnesses, collaborate with design engineers on DFM, troubleshoot production issues, and drive continuous improvement to support the Terran R rocket program.

Requirements

• Experience in manufacturing engineering for avionics or wire harnesses
• Ability to conduct MRRs and provide DFM feedback
• Skills in troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues
• Experience with process improvement and data analysis
• Strong collaboration skills with design, supply chain, and quality teams

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed process plans, work instructions, and work orders for avionics hardware and wire harnesses
• Conduct Manufacturing Readiness Reviews (MRRs) to ensure production readiness and risk mitigation
• Collaborate with design engineers on Design for Manufacturing (DFM) feedback
• Support build technicians during manufacturing, resolve non-conformances, and implement corrective actions
• Analyze process performance and yield data to drive continuous improvement
