Description

As a CDI Manager, you will lead client-facing projects to ensure accurate, complete, and compliant clinical documentation. You will develop CDI programs, deliver provider education, and analyze performance metrics to improve documentation quality and reimbursement outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or health-related field; MBA/MHA/MPH highly desirable.
  • 5-7 years of CDI experience with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Previous experience in consulting or professional services delivering client-focused solutions.
  • Active clinical or coding credential (RN, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CIC, CCDS, CDIP, CPC or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of CMS guidelines, ICD-10-CM/PCS, MS-DRG methodology, SOI/ROM, quality measures, and risk adjustment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of customer-facing CDI projects across inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Ensure high-quality execution of clinical deliverables including CDI assessments, medical record reviews, and provider education.
  • Develop and implement CDI policies, procedures, and workflows aligned with best practices.
  • Serve as clinical subject matter expert in documentation integrity, coding compliance, and regulatory standards.
  • Establish and monitor CDI performance metrics and analyze data to identify improvement opportunities.
