Description

You will profile, diagnose, and optimize rendering, layout, and input pipelines across platforms to reduce frame time and eliminate jank. You'll design and build extensible systems for core surfaces used by hundreds of millions of users, collaborating with engineering, product, and design teams to raise the bar on UI performance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience building large-scale, user-facing frontend applications
• Deep expertise in modern frontend technologies (React or similar, component-based architecture, state management)
• Demonstrated ability to optimize frontend performance and diagnose issues using profiling and benchmarking techniques
• Strong understanding of software design principles and frontend architecture (clean APIs, module boundaries)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional work

Responsibilities

• Own profiling, diagnosis, and end-to-end optimization of rendering, layout, and input pipelines across mobile, desktop, VR, and consoles
• Design and build robust, extensible systems powering Roblox's core surfaces (Home, Avatar, Search, etc.)
• Create scalable solutions for high-fidelity, high-performance interfaces
• Partner with engineering, product, and design teams to integrate shared solutions
• Collaborate with senior engineers and tech leads to shape architectural direction
