You'll define the multi-year technical vision and strategic roadmap for platform security at Fastly, overseeing a high-performing team. You'll drive cross-organizational advancements in security tooling and PKI solutions across a global edge cloud network. 🎯 What You'll Do

• Define long-term strategic vision and multi-year technical roadmap for Platform Security.
• Oversee and develop a team of engineers and principal-level individual contributors.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define clear roadmaps and priorities.
• Drive organization-wide adoption of best practices for operational excellence and security.

📋 Requirements

• 4+ years managing Platform or Site Reliability Engineering teams.
• 10+ years related technical experience with distributed systems and infrastructure as code.
• Experience with secrets and workload identity management using SPIFFE, SPIRE, HashiCorp Vault.
• Experience building and automating large scale production infrastructure in public cloud and on-prem.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with Kubernetes, PKI, and configuration management tools like Chef.
• Proficiency in Python or Go.
• Experience migrating workloads to new hosting platforms.
