💼 About This Role

You'll play a critical role in making Waymo's AV maps as useful as possible by creating software, tooling, and processes for rapid mapping at scale. You'll own mapping simulation capabilities to detect issues early and ensure map readiness before vehicles hit the road. You'll chart the strategic vision for these systems and work with every onboard and offboard team to execute it.

• Create software, tooling, and processes for rapid territory mapping

• Manage the map tooling roadmap from editing to scaling readiness assessment
• Collaborate with onboard and offboard teams to define strategic vision

📋 Requirements

• Deep technical acumen of complex multi-model systems
• Track record of excellent stakeholder management across organizations
• Excellent attention to detail for complex physical spaces

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with simulation platforms or automated testing
• Experience with geospatial data and coverage/quality metrics
• AV experience (nice but not required)
