Description

As a technical lead and manager of the Core Platform team, you will lead the design and operation of reliable, resilient platforms that enable rapid product development. You will partner with ML, search, product, data, and full-stack teams to define and build elegant solutions, while hiring and mentoring engineers to foster technical excellence.

Requirements

• 3+ years managing teams of 5+ engineers including senior engineers
• 7+ years hands-on experience designing and maintaining highly scalable, fault-tolerant backend distributed systems
• Proficiency in Python/Golang/Java/C++
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) and technologies like Kafka, Opensearch, Redis, Postgres, Temporal at scale
• Excellent communication skills to influence all levels and translate complex product needs into platform abstractions

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Core Platform team, overseeing platform building blocks with focus on developer productivity, reliability, scalability, performance, and security
• Collaborate with ML, search, product, data, and frontend teams to understand platform needs, influence roadmap, and execute projects
• Architect core platforms such as content ingestion, crawler framework, permissions enforcement, identity, and content retrieval
• Define metrics to measure core service performance, identify bottlenecks, and improve overall scalability
• Hire and mentor engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement
