Description

In this role, you will be a core engineer on Ripple's central Data Engineering team, implementing data ingestion and transformation for analytics, machine learning, and business functions. You'll own development for small to mid-sized projects, write tech specs, improve data pipeline architecture, and collaborate to create AI agents and conversational tools for non-technical users.

Requirements

• Proficient (3-6 yrs) in Python, Scala, or similar, with strong SQL skills
• Experience with Data Warehouse or data lake platforms like Databricks
• Hands-on experience using AI or ML in data-related projects
• Familiar with tools using large language models (coding assistants, chat-based data tools, etc.)
• Experience with scalable data pipelines, distributed systems, AWS (S3, Lambda, etc.), and CI/CD using GitLab and Terraform

Responsibilities

• Ship solutions to both large and small projects, handling ambiguous requirements
• Write design documents highlighting architecture, timelines, and alternatives
• Own development and rollout for small to mid-sized projects
• Improve code structure and architecture in data pipelines for testability and maintainability
• Collaborate to create AI agents and conversational tools for business user insights
