Description
You will provide legal advice on government contracting, including contract formation, negotiation, and compliance with FAR and DFARS. You'll assist clients with procurement processes, bid protests, and contract disputes, working within in-house legal teams to ensure regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Active membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
- Minimum 3+ years practicing law with focus on government contracts
- Strong knowledge of FAR and agency-specific regulations
- Knowledge of state and local procurement laws and procedures
- Experience with public sector contracting and regulatory compliance
Responsibilities
- Advise on government contracts including formation, negotiation, performance, and termination
- Assist with procurement processes like bid protests, RFPs, and contract disputes
- Provide counsel on compliance with FAR, DFARS, certifications, and reporting requirements
- Support state and local government contracting including bid preparation and contract administration
- Advise on regulatory compliance with applicable statutes, regulations, and policies
