Description

As a Composite Technician at Rocket Lab, you'll be hands-on building and assembling parts of the Electron rocket, from pressurized tanks to heat shields, ensuring high quality and meeting production schedules. You'll work with tools and equipment to support launch vehicle production.

Requirements

• Trade qualified or 2+ years relevant industry experience
• Precision lamination skills of prepreg systems
• Knowledge of bagging for oven and autoclave cures
• Ability to interpret and apply laminate and assembly drawings
• Experience with multi-layer insulation (MLI) and heat-shield materials preferred

Responsibilities

• Assemble and build composite parts for Electron rocket, including pressurized tanks, structural assemblies, propellant filters, payload hardware, and heat shields
• Perform precision lamination of prepreg and tooling prepreg systems
• Apply knowledge of bagging for oven and autoclave cures
• Interpret laminate and assembly drawings to ensure product quality
• Conduct measurements and calculations in a composite workplace
