💼 About This Role

You'll develop data-driven strategies to protect and grow our fintech platform, owning fraud prevention and loss mitigation work streams. Collaborating daily with Engineering, Business Operations, Support, and Sales, you'll have exposure to nearly every part of the company. You'll build a team from the ground up, taking on a player/coach role to deliver key initiatives and mentor new members.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Develop and implement comprehensive fraud prevention framework across lending lifecycle
• Design and maintain key fraud metrics and dashboards; monitor real-time fraud signals
• Evaluate, implement, and optimize third-party fraud solutions and vendor management
• Lead investigations into suspicious activity and coordinate mitigation or recovery actions

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years in fraud management or risk operations in fintech, lending, or financial services
• Strong understanding of U.S. SMB-lending fraud typologies (identity theft, synthetic identities, account takeover)
• Experience with fraud detection technologies and data analysis (SQL, Python or similar)
• Ability to design policies balancing risk mitigation with customer experience

• Experience building a risk team from scratch
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance (Fair Lending, GLBA, CFPB)
