💼 About This Role

You'll manage a remote team building Grafana Alloy, an OpenTelemetry collector distribution. Your work will directly impact how developers instrument and observe their applications. This role offers high autonomy and a strong focus on psychological safety.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Manage and develop the Alloy engineering team, providing regular feedback and career support.
• Support the team in closer collaboration with the OpenTelemetry collector community.
• Work with product and engineering leadership to ensure Alloy fits into the Grafana Cloud experience.
• Guide projects from ideation through planning, execution, and post-launch.

📋 Requirements

• 3+ years of people management experience in engineering
• Domain knowledge in observability and OpenTelemetry
• Experience working with autonomous engineering teams
• Solid understanding of distributed systems principles (scalability, fault tolerance, consistency)

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with Grafana or Prometheus ecosystems
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools
• Comfortable collaborating across time zones in a remote environment
