💼 About This Role

You'll lead the platform engineering team at Natera, owning the cloud ecosystem as a product. Your core impact is delivering an AI-native Internal Developer Platform that makes deploying and scaling effortless for all engineering teams. You'll report directly to the Director of Platform Engineering and have autonomy to define the roadmap.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Define the multi-year roadmap for Cloud, Orchestration, and Kafka ecosystems.
• Conduct user research with internal developers to improve self-service platform.
• Oversee delivery of high-throughput event streaming and orchestration services.
• Manage and mentor a team of 8 engineers.

📋 Requirements

• 8+ years experience in Cloud/Platform/Infrastructure Engineering.
• 2-3 years in a leadership role managing high-performing teams.
• Deep expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Expert-level knowledge of Kafka/MSK and orchestration services.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with AI-native operations (RAG, agentic reasoning, LLM automation).
• Track record of treating infrastructure as a product.
