💼 About This Role

You'll define and drive the technical security strategy for Cognism's web and data products, embedding security-by-design across engineering. You'll partner with product and technology leadership to align security with engineering velocity. This role offers a rare opportunity to shape AI and data security for a data-intensive product at scale.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Define and own Cognism's technical security strategy for web and data products.
• Partner with product and technology leadership to embed security-by-design.
• Set and direct a secure SDLC strategy, coaching the application security engineer.
• Manage the relationship with the 24/7 outsourced SOC, improving detection and response.

📋 Requirements

• 10+ years of security engineering leadership experience in a product-led company.
• Proven track record of building or transforming security programs from scratch.
• Expertise in AppSec, OWASP, API security, SAST/DAST, and threat modeling.
• Ability to communicate risk to both executive and engineering audiences.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with AI security as LLMs and agentic workflows.
• Background in data security, especially data pipelines and access governance.
• Experience managing outsourced SOC and pen testing vendors.
