Description

You will service, calibrate, and repair precision instruments used in the rubber and plastics industry, working both in-house and at customer sites. This hands-on role involves troubleshooting equipment, documenting calibration data, and maintaining lab equipment.

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and troubleshooting ability
• Mechanical and electrical/electronic proficiency
• Basic soldering skills (bonus)
• Ability to travel frequently and occasionally on short notice
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
• Able to lift 50lbs
• Able to climb, kneel, drive, and stand for long periods of time
• Good organizational and prioritization skills
• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Ability and willingness to travel to customers' locations
• At least two years of hands-on technical work experience (nice to have)
• Knowledge of principles, procedures, methods, and techniques in metrology (nice to have)
• Knowledge and experience with Electrical, Physical, and/or Mechanical Calibration of equipment (nice to have)
• Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or higher in a technical field (nice to have)

Responsibilities

• Calibrate, service, and troubleshoot instruments (rheometers, viscometers, tensile testers, and related equipment)
• Perform work both in-house and at customer sites
• Communicate clearly with customers throughout the process and provide status updates with technical support
• Document calibration data and service reports
• Maintain lab equipment and support occasional equipment sales
