πΌ About This Role
You'll lead the most ambitious redesign of federal workforce policy in a generation as part of the Democracy Works 250 initiative. You will drive a transformational process to reimagine how government recruits, supports, and empowers its people. This role convenes a national reform coalition and translates insights into a future-ready reform options library.
π― What You'll Do
- Lead development of the Federal Capacity Solutions Lab policy reforms
- Convene and drive a national coalition of civil service experts
- Oversee policy track working groups on hiring, performance, and more
- Align policy track with other Democracy Works 250 projects
π Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience in workforce policy or reform design
- Deep working knowledge of federal personnel systems (OPM, Title 5, SES)
- Demonstrated leadership in large-scale policy initiatives or reform campaigns
- Exceptional writing, synthesis, and facilitation skills

- Experience with federal oral history projects
- Background in AI integration within workforce systems
- Coalition-building experience with diverse stakeholders
