Description

You will lead the development of Android-based Smart POS Terminals and related software at GoDaddy, crafting secure and efficient payment solutions for banking partners and merchants. You'll provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and maintainable products.

Requirements

• 7+ years software industry experience with strong expertise in Java, Kotlin, and Android Native Development
• 2+ years experience with AOSP or Embedded Systems Engineering
• Solid foundation in software engineering fundamentals including algorithms, data structures, and SOLID principles
• Proven ownership of full software development lifecycle
• Skilled in designing standardized, secure, and intuitive external-facing APIs

Responsibilities

• Write code with expertise in architecture and design patterns, providing technical leadership on mission-critical projects
• Drive engineering initiatives to reduce technical debt and participate in roadmap planning
• Guide and mentor junior engineers on design, implementation, and code reviews
• Collaborate with Product Managers to define and gather requirements, delivering high-quality architectural solutions
• Lead operational processes including release management, on-call rotation, incident response, and post-mortems
