Description
You will analyze meteorological data and provide accurate weather forecasts and risk communication to customers. This is a shift work role requiring flexibility to cover evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in meteorology, atmospheric science, or related field
- Proven experience in weather forecasting or meteorological analysis
- Strong knowledge of meteorological principles and weather patterns
- Familiarity with meteorological data sources and radar systems
- Proficiency with weather forecasting software and data visualization tools
Responsibilities
- Analyze meteorological data from satellites, radar, stations, and models
- Monitor and interpret weather patterns to develop accurate forecasts
- Use forecasting software and models to generate predictions
- Collaborate with team to refine forecast accuracy
- Prepare and deliver forecasts via reports, presentations, and social media
