💼 About This Role

You'll lead evening news coverage as the central hub of WTOL 11's Story Management Desk, combining assignment editing and digital production. Your core impact is ensuring timely, accurate multi-platform updates during breaking news and peak audience periods. This role uniquely integrates broadcast, digital, streaming, and social storytelling.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead and communicate newsroom coverage during afternoon/evening breaking news
• Create, edit, and publish content for digital platforms including website and mobile app
• Launch and manage WTOL 11+ livestreams as needed
• Curate and optimize content across broadcast, digital, streaming, and social platforms

📋 Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in a local newsroom or digital production role
• Strong news judgment and ability to make fast editorial decisions
• Excellent writing and editing skills under deadline pressure
• Familiarity with newsroom systems and CMS tools

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with vertical video formats (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts)
• Knowledge of audience data and performance metrics
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or communications
