Description

You will design and analyze gas turbine engine components, collaborating with customers and internal teams to solve complex engineering challenges. You'll use CAE tools like NX and ANSYS to develop modifications and new designs for aerospace and defense applications.

Requirements

• 1+ years experience in mechanical design of gas-turbine or turbo-machinery components
• Minimum BS/B.Tech in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering
• Experience with NX and ANSYS (Classic or workbench) or similar tools
• Ability to interpret technical drawings with GD&T
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident required

Responsibilities

• Develop or modify designs for aero-engine components based on product specifications and manufacturing capabilities
• Execute mechanical design projects for gas turbine components including structures, rotating parts, and airfoils
• Evaluate design concepts, manufacturing methods, and materials; generate reports and change proposals
• Capture and incorporate customer design system requirements into component designs
• Use CAE tools (NX, ANSYS) for component design and analysis; interface with engineering functions
