Description
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Neuralink, you will support the design and production of hardware solutions for brain-computer interface devices, contributing to projects from concept through production. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and ensure timely completion.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 6+ months relevant academic coursework or project experience
- 9+ months experience applying technical skills outside classroom
- 1+ years of Mechanical Design experience
- Strong understanding of engineering first principles
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and validate systems for implant and related hardware components
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes and equipment for in-house production
- Scope, design, and iterate custom tooling and fixturing for implant assembly line
- Collaborate with Quality, Electrical Engineering, BCI Software, and other teams to define system requirements
- Adhere to aggressive project schedules and ensure timely completion
