Description

As a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Neuralink, you will support the design and production of hardware solutions for brain-computer interface devices, contributing to projects from concept through production. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and ensure timely completion.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 6+ months relevant academic coursework or project experience
  • 9+ months experience applying technical skills outside classroom
  • 1+ years of Mechanical Design experience
  • Strong understanding of engineering first principles

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, and validate systems for implant and related hardware components
  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes and equipment for in-house production
  • Scope, design, and iterate custom tooling and fixturing for implant assembly line
  • Collaborate with Quality, Electrical Engineering, BCI Software, and other teams to define system requirements
  • Adhere to aggressive project schedules and ensure timely completion
