💼 About This Role
You'll develop, commission, and operate flight vehicle recovery assets for a fully reusable launch vehicle. Your work enables rapid return-to-launch cadence. You'll own the full product lifecycle from architecture to operations.
🎯 What You'll Do
- Provide engineering oversight across structural, mechanical, piping, HVAC and automation
- Interface with external vendors, regulatory bodies and classification societies
- Review and approve technical drawings and test procedures
- Develop and manage technical specifications
- Support factory acceptance testing of all applicable equipment
📋 Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in maritime engineering, shipyard refits, or offshore operations
- Bachelor’s degree in naval architecture, marine engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or physics
- Strong engineering fundamentals across multiple disciplines
- Experience working directly with IACS surveyors
✨ Nice to Have
- 10+ years of experience in a related role in the maritime industry
- Familiarity with AFSPCMAN 91-710 range requirements
- Master’s degree in a related field
