💼 About This Role

You'll be the singular technical owner of application performance across Dropbox's consumer surfaces, starting with web. Your mandate is to make Dropbox feel fast for hundreds of millions of users, defining the performance discipline from scratch. You'll partner across iOS, Android, and desktop teams, building measurement systems and driving cross-cutting improvements.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Drive web performance improvements via profiling and flame graphs
• Lead performance initiatives across iOS, Android, and desktop
• Build measurement and regression-detection systems for Core
• Write production code in JavaScript, React, Python, and Go
• Mentor engineers on performance-aware system design

📋 Requirements

• 12+ years software engineering experience with 3+ years as Senior
• Proven track record of measurable performance improvements in production web apps
• Experience using AI tooling to accelerate performance work
• Production experience with Python or Go backend services
