💼 About This Role

You'll lead the design and implementation of core backend systems for AI infrastructure. You will own critical systems end-to-end while mentoring a growing team. This is a hands-on role at a seed-stage startup building the context infrastructure for autonomous agents.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own design and implementation of core backend/platform systems.
• Lead architecture discussions and make pragmatic tradeoffs.
• Manage and mentor a small group of engineers.
• Break down complex problems into clear milestones.

📋 Requirements

• Strong experience as a senior or staff-level engineer in production systems.
• Prior experience leading engineers, formally or informally.
• Comfort owning systems end-to-end: design → build → deploy → operate.
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, backend services, APIs, and data flows.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience in early-stage startups.
• Background in data infrastructure, ML platforms, or cloud-native systems.
• Experience scaling systems or teams from small to reliable at scale.
