💼 About This Role

You'll join Windscribe's SRE team to tame DNS infrastructure at scale. Your work directly impacts 70 million+ users' privacy and connectivity. You'll own infrastructure projects from design to deployment, ensuring reliability across global points of presence.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Manage Linux systems and troubleshoot network issues
• Automate infrastructure using Salt and Python scripts
• Troubleshoot DNS resolution across OS and network environments
• Participate in critical incident response on-call rotation
• Create and maintain operational documentation and runbooks

📋 Requirements

• Solid Linux administration (filesystem, firewall, systemd)
• Infrastructure as Code experience with Salt, Ansible, or Terraform
• Network troubleshooting with command-line tools (dig, tcpdump)
• Deep understanding of DNS protocol (record types, DNSSEC, anycast)

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with BIND, PowerDNS, or Unbound
• Hardware skills with Juniper/JunOS or VyOS
• VPN protocol knowledge (OpenVPN, WireGuard, StrongSwan)
