💼 About This Role

You'll partner with product and research teams to embed security into the development lifecycle at Thinking Machines Lab, building secure-by-default systems for cutting-edge AI products. You'll design and implement security controls and tooling that keep systems safe at scale while supporting fast product iteration.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Partner with product and research teams to embed security into the development lifecycle.
• Design and implement security controls across the product stack.
• Build and maintain security tooling and automation for engineers.
• Collaborate with researchers to mitigate AI-specific product risks.

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language such as Python or Rust.
• Hands-on experience securing web apps and APIs including auth flows and access control.
• Familiarity with common vulnerability classes and prevention frameworks.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience securing AI-powered products or working with ML/LLM APIs.
• Background in human-computer interaction where security or trust plays a central role.
• Strong skills in rapid prototyping and iteration.
