You'll design and build core components of a next-generation knowledge retrieval system for the AI era. You'll own architecture, performance, and reliability across large-scale inference and retrieval workloads and backend services for semantic and hybrid search. This role offers significant impact on a product used by thousands of customers.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and build scalable platform components for advanced retrieval
• Build optimized indexing pipelines for structured and unstructured data
• Design APIs for internal and external users and agentic consumers
• Optimize latency, throughput and cost across large-scale workloads

📋 Requirements

• 6+ years of shipping production-grade backends for large-scale systems
• Expert in Go, Rust, C++, Java, or Python
• Experience with semantic search, vector databases, or hybrid retrieval
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience building multi-tenant SaaS platforms
• Experience with retrieval evaluation frameworks
• Experience with query planning or agentic reasoning loops
