Description

As a Senior Industrial Engineer at Magic Leap, you will optimize equipment utilization, WIP flow, and capacity planning in a semiconductor fab environment. You'll partner with cross-functional teams to transition new processes into high-volume manufacturing and drive continuous improvements through Kaizen, time studies, and OEE analysis. This onsite role in Plantation, FL involves up to 25% travel.

Requirements

• Strong background in semiconductor factory automation and advanced manufacturing systems
• Hands-on experience in semiconductor fabrication
• Proficiency in Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS) such as OHV and AGV
• Experience with simulation and layout tools like FlexSim, AutoCAD, or equivalent
• Up to 25% domestic and international travel required

Responsibilities

• Optimize equipment utilization, WIP flow, and capacity planning
• Partner with R&D, Quality, and Production to transition new processes into high-volume manufacturing
• Support Kaizen activities, standard work documentation, and GMP compliance
• Conduct time studies, value stream mapping, and OEE analysis to identify inefficiencies
• Perform root-cause investigations and troubleshoot complex manufacturing and automation issues
