Description

As an Engineering Manager for Sustaining Engineering, you will lead a distributed team of open source engineers, resolving software defects for customers and improving the wider open source community. You'll support your team's growth, facilitate technical delivery, and influence culture, working on a broad stack from kernel to cloud platforms.

Requirements

• Professional software delivery experience using C, C++, Go, Python, or similar
• Leadership experience organizing complex problem resolution and bug fixes
• Experience with version control systems (git) and debugging tools (gdb, crash, etc.)
• Strong commitment to testing and maintainable code quality
• Excellent communication skills in English; experience with Linux (Ubuntu preferred) and open source

• Manage and lead a distributed team of engineers
• Hire, coach, mentor, provide feedback and career development guidance
• Manage KPIs and training; ensure timely delivery of bug fixes and technical solutions
• Set expectations with engineering teams, senior management, and external stakeholders
• Advocate modern software development practices and grow collaborative engineering culture
