Description

As a software engineering intern at Nuro, you'll work alongside experts in machine learning, robotics, and software to build autonomous driving technology. Depending on your interests, you'll contribute to areas like data platform, onboard systems, ML infrastructure, simulation, or technical infrastructure.

Requirements

• Current BS or MS in CS, EE, Robotics, or related field graduating Dec 2026 or later
• Experience in backend API design, distributed systems, or data storage/processing
• Proficient in C++ and Python
• Knowledge of machine learning, multithreading, x86 architecture, or software performance tuning

Responsibilities

• Work on data platform including annotation, ingestion, mining, and evaluation infrastructure
• Develop reliable onboard systems integrating autonomy software with hardware
• Build ML infrastructure for distributed training, compilers, and model libraries
• Create and improve simulation frameworks, sensor simulation, and scenario generation
• Maintain technical infrastructure for compute, storage, cloud, and CI/CD
