💼 About This Role

You'll own ML tasks for the Perception team at Waymo, developing methods for large-scale real-world data. You'll analyze behavior of ML systems in production and drive improvements for safety-critical issues.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own ML tasks, scaling and improving performance.
• Analyze real-world ML system behavior and identify root causes.
• Monitor production systems and develop detection methods.
• Develop metrics for safety-critical and longtail issues.

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's in CS or equivalent deep learning experience
• 3+ years experience in Machine Learning and Computer Vision
• Python experience
• PyTorch or JAX experience

✨ Nice to Have

• MS/PhD in relevant field
• Publications at top-tier conferences (CVPR, NeurIPS, etc.)
• C++ experience
