You'll develop measurement approaches and metrics to characterize the performance and safety of Waymo's perception system. You'll validate analysis methodologies and integrate metrics on fleet-wide data, accelerating verification through automation. 🎯 What You'll Do

• Develop measurement approaches and metrics for perception system performance.
• Validate perception system analysis methodologies and communicate trade-offs.
• Integrate and deploy metrics on fleet-wide data.
• Automate system characterization procedures and build data pipelines.

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years in software engineering for robotics, autonomous vehicles, or similar.
• Experience testing systems at all levels (unit to end-to-end).
• Solid understanding of physics, geometry, bayesian statistics, and machine learning.
• Proficiency in Python and C++.

✨ Nice to Have

• 8+ years industry experience.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Experience building numerical algorithms or scientific software.
• Experience building or evaluating machine learning models in production.
