Description

You will weld and fabricate primary airframe structures for the Starship and Super Heavy vehicles at SpaceX's South Texas build site. Working with an elite team, you'll build tanks, bulkheads, and large assemblies while collaborating with lead welders and engineers to achieve build efficiency.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 1+ years TIG welding experience in manufacturing or recent welding certificate
• Pass weld test per AWS D17.1
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs unassisted
• Work at heights up to 200 feet and in confined spaces

Responsibilities

• GTAW class A welds on metal components
• Collaborate with lead welder to assess weld procedures and material requirements
• Analyze engineering drawings to plan welding operations
• Weld assembly and fabrication of large-scale structures
• Operate shop equipment like forklifts, boom lifts, and scissor lifts
