You will lead strategic development and execution of global payroll risk and incident management, driving resolution of high-impact incidents and embedding risk-aware thinking into operations. This role involves designing frameworks, mentoring team members, and influencing how Remote grows with control and confidence.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in payroll risk management or incident response
• Demonstrated ability to lead incident response and implement data-driven solutions
• Expertise in designing and scaling risk governance frameworks
• Experience mentoring in a distributed, remote-first environment
• Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee global risk management frameworks for payroll operations
• Own and evolve the global payroll risk register
• Lead cross-functional risk assessments with Legal, Product, Payroll Ops
• Serve as escalation point for complex payroll incidents globally
• Mentor and develop Specialists and Managers in risk and incident practices
