💼 About This Role

You'll join a robotics hardware startup just before market entry, owning the mechanical design lifecycle from concept to production. You'll work directly with the CTO on a deck-based robot solving a fundamental logistics problem.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design complex mechanisms (chain drives, grippers, lift systems) from concept to production
• Create detailed CAD models and manufacturing drawings in SolidWorks
• Select materials and manufacturing processes for application-specific needs
• Optimize existing mechanisms for cost, performance, and manufacturability

📋 Requirements

• 3+ years experience in mechanical design for industrial applications
• Expert-level SolidWorks skills including detailed manufacturing drawings
• Proven experience in hardware product development from concept to production
• Deep materials knowledge (metals, alloys, plastics, surface treatments)

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience in sheet metal design and fabrication
• Background in CNC machining
• Experience at AGV/AMR manufacturers or industrial automation
