You will build autonomous software controlling BlackSky's satellite constellation, developing cloud-native microservices and bridging hardware interfaces with cloud systems. Your work ensures mission-critical satellite operations run 24/7 with minimal human intervention, requiring precision and reliability in a high-stakes environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in CS or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 6+ years professional software development experience
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or C++
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCS, Azure)
• Strong emphasis on safety, test coverage, and reliability

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain software for autonomous satellite operations and real-time tasking
• Develop services integrating ground station infrastructure and satellite communication protocols
• Build cloud-native microservices to support satellite tasking and monitoring
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine technical requirements
• Support on-call rotations, launch operations, and troubleshooting of live systems
