Description

You will develop and maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulations, lead hazard assessments and industrial hygiene programs, implement safety controls for automated equipment, and investigate incidents to improve safety protocols at SpaceX's rocket development facility.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years experience in EHS disciplines
• Preferred: Engineering degree with emphasis in occupational safety or chemical engineering
• Preferred: Knowledge of PSM, chemical hygiene for combustible dusts, oxidizers, acids, bases, flammables
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain compliance with OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH, ASTM, ANSI and other regulations
• Collaborate on job hazard assessments and implement health and safety policies
• Oversee industrial hygiene programs, including exposure monitoring plans
• Implement controls to mitigate chemical and dust exposure hazards
• Investigate accidents to determine root causes and preventive measures
