Description

You will develop and deploy machine learning algorithms for robotic welding perception, including point cloud registration, seam detection, and joint geometry estimation. You'll work on real-world embodied intelligence systems, combining computer vision, deep learning, and Python to close the skilled labor gap.

Requirements

  • Master's or Ph.D. in CS, Robotics, or related field with Computer Vision/ML focus.
  • 3+ years (Experienced) or 7+ years (Senior/Staff) in real-world robotics or industrial ML.
  • Strong Python fluency and hands-on PyTorch experience.
  • Experience with 3D point cloud data and libraries such as Open3D.
  • Familiarity with 3D deep learning architectures like PointNet++ or GeoTransformer.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and iterate ML algorithms for weld perception tasks such as point cloud registration and seam detection.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines for training and evaluating perception models.
  • Run rigorous model evaluation experiments including failure mode analysis and benchmarking.
  • Integrate trained models into production ROS-based robotics services.
  • Write clean, well-tested Python code and participate in code and experiment reviews.
