Description

You will develop and implement a comprehensive training program to qualify welders in gas tungsten arc welding for Starship and Super Heavy vehicles. You'll teach hands-on and theory-based classes, create curriculum, and assess student performance to ensure they meet SpaceX quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in welding/engineering + 6 years experience, or associate + 8 years, or high school + 10 years
• 2+ years of teaching or training in a classroom or industrial setting
• AWS Certified Welding Educator credential
• Ability to lift 25 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work extended hours/weekends
• Must meet ITAR requirements (US citizen or permanent resident)

Responsibilities

• Teach TIG/GTAW welding techniques, safety procedures, and equipment maintenance
• Develop and update curriculum, lesson plans, and instructional materials
• Provide hands-on demonstrations and supervise students during practical lab work
• Assess and evaluate student performance through practical tests, projects, and written exams
• Maintain welding equipment and ensure laboratory environment is safe and organized
