Description

You will lead the technical direction of Coupang's core data-serving backend system, building a next-generation data-serving platform that handles millions of user requests globally. You'll define the technical vision and roadmap for mission-critical projects, mentoring and leading engineering teams while driving innovation.

Requirements

• 3-20 years of professional software development experience
• 3-20 years developing in at least one programming language (Java preferred)
• 3+ years leading design or architecture of new/existing systems
• Experience defining technical vision and building roadmaps for mission-critical projects
• Experience with microservices architecture at web scale

Responsibilities

• Define and drive technical vision and roadmap for core member domain and authentication/data platform
• Design and build scalable, reliable platforms supporting global markets (Korea, Taiwan, Japan)
• Lead architectural decisions for new and existing systems ensuring stability and scalability
• Collaborate with engineering teams to build open and extensible platforms
• Mentor and tech lead engineering teams, coordinating with stakeholders
