Description

You will develop ML and optimization models to power real-time pricing and ETA decisions for Lyft's rideshare marketplace. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to build production-grade solutions that balance supply and demand, driving conversion and retention. This role offers exposure to diverse problems in optimization, prediction, and inference.

Requirements

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Machine Learning, Operations Research, Statistics, Computer Science or other quantitative fields
• 2+ years of algorithms experience in a technology company setting
• Proficiency with Python and production coding environment
• Passion for unstructured mathematical problems and building impactful models
• Strong understanding of ML methodologies with experience building optimization or ML models

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to frame problems mathematically
• Write production code and deploy ML and optimization models
• Build custom methods and tooling beyond off-the-shelf libraries
• Perform data analysis and build proof-of-concepts for new problems
• Establish metrics and measurement methodologies to monitor product health
