You'll serve as the go-to legal advisor for Product, Design, Marketing, and Engineering teams at Strava, a global fitness app with over 180 million athletes. You'll help shape the legal foundation for new features, especially those involving AI, privacy, and sensitive data, ensuring compliant and user-friendly products. This role stands out for its focus on AI-forward legal practice and a hybrid working model based in San Francisco.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Serve as legal advisor for product teams throughout the product life cycle.
• Advise on high-risk or novel activities like new AI use cases and health data.
• Develop strategies for handling legal issues and building scalable processes.
• Monitor legal developments and deliver training to internal stakeholders.

📋 Requirements

• JD with 8+ years relevant work experience, at least 2 in-house at a consumer tech company.
• Strong knowledge of US federal and state privacy laws and GDPR.
• Experience partnering with technical teams to translate legal requirements into compliant products.
• Experience advising on AI legal requirements and AI-governance best practices.

✨ Nice to Have

• Relevant privacy or AI certifications (CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, AIGP) or equivalent experience.
• Prior in-house experience at a rapidly scaling tech company.
• Prior experience at a top law firm.
