Description

You will develop and qualify processes for high-rate, mixed-product manufacturing of propulsion, avionics, and welded structural assemblies. Focus on design for manufacturing, poka-yoke systems, automation, and minimizing cycle times to enable efficient production.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, manufacturing, materials, or mechanical engineering
• 1+ years manufacturing and process design experience
• Proficiency in mechanical assembly methods, testing, FMEA, and troubleshooting
• Experience with integration and testing of propulsion, thermal, electrical, or structural systems
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, kneeling, climbing, and working in extreme environments

Responsibilities

• Develop and perform acceptance testing of manufacturing processes and tools
• Design precision tooling to eliminate assembly error and minimize cycle time
• Automate processes for repeatability on high-rate lines
• Work with design engineering to influence design for manufacturing
• Manage transition of parts from development to high-rate production
