Description

You will support satellite mechanical systems and payload development across systems engineering, mechanical design, structural analysis, assembly, integration, and test activities. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize spacecraft architecture for simplicity, performance, mass, and cost.

Requirements

• Master's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline
• 10+ years experience in spacecraft mechanical design, integration, and testing
• Proficiency with CAD tools (Autodesk Inventor preferred, CATIA, SolidWorks, CREO)
• Experience in spacecraft assembly design for launch and on-orbit environments
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform spacecraft mechanical system and payload layout studies
• Develop mechanical design documentation including drawings and ICDs
• Prepare and present technical content for design reviews
• Troubleshoot mechanical anomalies and conduct root-cause analyses
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams for design transfer
