Description

As an HVAC Technician on the critical infrastructure team, you'll design, build, and maintain advanced manufacturing facilities at SpaceX, working with engineers and technicians to ensure peak system performance and support the mission of enabling human life on Mars.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years professional experience with HVAC, plumbing, pneumatic, electrical, or mechanical systems
• Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted and work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical safety, and rotating machinery
• Comfortable working in high-stress environment and extreme outdoor conditions

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers and managers to maintain systems and develop preventative maintenance work instructions
• Maintain and repair HVAC equipment including air handlers, chilled water systems, cooling towers, and valves
• Perform ductwork modifications, brazing, soldering, refrigerant charging, water piping, and insulation repairs
• Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, heating, water, and drainage systems per specifications
• Read schematics, perform failure assessments, safety inspections, and operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and cranes
