💼 About This Role

You'll lead the cell-level test and validation program for commercial Sodium-Ion batteries, defining critical-to-quality metrics and designing test campaigns. You'll build in-house test fixtures and data systems while owning third-party safety testing. This role is key to establishing the trust and reliability of a new chemistry at commercial scale.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Define and execute electrochemical characterization of commercial product cells.
• Own cycle life and calendar life test programs across temperature and SOC conditions.
• Design and execute self-discharge characterization at the cell level.
• Own third-party test engagements for thermal runaway and abuse testing.
• Build and qualify in-house test fixtures and data-acquisition systems.

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or science discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in cell or battery test and validation.
• Deep hands-on expertise in electrochemical characterization methods and instrumentation.
• Direct experience operating and troubleshooting battery cyclers (e.g., Arbin, Maccor).
• Demonstrated experience owning third-party test engagements for abuse testing.
