Description

You will build, modify, and troubleshoot test equipment for the Starbase Structures team, working closely with engineers on mechanical and fluid assemblies, data and control systems, and test operations. This role requires hands-on work with high-pressure fluid systems, instrumentation, and structural fabrication to support the development of technologies enabling human life on Mars.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 3+ years experience with mechanical systems, high-pressure fluid systems, instrumentation, data/control systems, or test operations
• Ability to read/interpreting planning documents, schematics, and engineering sketches
• Experience with aerospace testing, structural repair, or hydraulic plumbing fabrication preferred
• Knowledge of data acquisition and controls concepts (NI PXI/cSeries, PLC) preferred

Responsibilities

• Build, modify, and troubleshoot test equipment including fluid systems, mechanical assemblies, and instrumentation
• Fabricate high-pressure fluid panels, plumbing, and hydraulic manifolds
• Install instrumentation and build/troubleshoot wiring harnesses
• Assemble, modify, and inspect test articles with structural fabrication and non-destructive testing
• Participate in rigging and crane operations for test equipment and articles
