Description

You will oversee daily inspection and documentation of infrastructure projects including road, water main, and sewer construction, while managing client relationships and contributing to strategic initiatives for the construction group.

Requirements

• BS in Civil or Construction Engineering or related engineering curriculum required
• EIT preferred
• 3-10 years working experience with IDOT preferred
• Experience working on field projects desired
• Experience with ArcGIS, MicroStation, Geopak, and/or AutoCAD desirable
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organization and ability to perform services efficiently within budgets and schedules
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Good driving record and valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Review and assure project supervisor of adequacy of budget and schedule
• Perform construction observation and follow applicable procedures
• Maintain a field book in accordance with project procedures
• Perform measurements of construction work and quantity calculations
• Prepare Inspector's Daily Reports and other project documentation
• Report progress, technical issues, status of work, and deficiencies to supervisor
• Review plans, specifications, and submittals
• Provide design or professional assistance to project managers
• Maintain company-owned vehicle or assigned equipment
